Device still doesn't count steps correctly when trekking poles used. Any recent (2023) device advancements that can handle poles?

Hi @BAG2020 - it is possible using poles could cause a confusion because the device is measuring arm movements as opposed to steps or even both, which is possibly true of any wrist worn device.

The solution would be an ankle bracelet to get a more precise steps reading.

Guy,

So this means that Fitbit has no wrist product that can successfully handle trekking poles?

Same issue with Luxe, count comes in approx 30%-40% of actual number of steps and therefore distance - obviously basing on arm movement and not steps.

Easy fix, last hike with poles put Luxe in pocket instead of on wrist and totally accurate. Yes, would rather have on wrist but not a big deal...
