Versa 3 factory reset with buttons?

So I bought a versa 3 off this older lady kn mercari who was selling it because she lost her phone and couldn't get it unlocked anymore to use it. I see that plenty of other models have a factory reset option with button combinations but I can't seem to find the info for the versa 3. I tried the hold the button down wait till logo appears wait 2 seconds and hold again but it didn't work. Any help would be great thanks!

Hi @edora19 - it is possible to factory reset with the buttons but it can also fail catastrophically, so best to chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support, they can guide you through it.

If you have had a Fitbit before it is a good idea to note the names of any clock or apps you use in the Fitbit App Gallery tile, for installing later.

Hello @edora19   It sounds like you did the reset steps in the correct order, but to review:

  • Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears
  • When the logo disappears, release the button briefly (less than 2 seconds)
  • Hold the button again, until you feel a longer, stronger vibration

The Versa 3 haptic button is awkward, so you might need to try this more than once.  If this doesn't work, you should contact the seller on Mercari for a refund.  Items are supposed to be in working order when sold.
