Versa 3 find phone app not working

The fine my phone app barely ever works. The only time it works is within 5 minutes of syncing the Fitbit to the phone. I tried to click all day sync but it has disappeared. Also I do appreciate all that you do, but if you are going to put something then it needs to work. Please fix this!

Thanks for sharing those details about this situation with your Versa 3, and for trying to solve it prior posting. Please check the requirements that Find Phone app needs to properly work:

 

  • Your smartwatch must be connected (“paired”) to the phone you want to locate.
  • Your phone must have Bluetooth turned on and be within 30 feet (10m) of your Fitbit device.
  • The Fitbit app must be running in the background on your phone.
  • Your phone must be turned on

If this persists, please follow the steps in this link How do I troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device?

I just had this problem happen to my Versa 3 today. My Samsung Galaxy S21+ had a software update within the last few days. Apparently, there was a glitch. Notifications were turned off without me knowing it.

 

I couldn't find my phone, had to use the "find my phone" app but it couldn't find the phone. I thought that was odd since the app worked fine a few weeks ago (prior to the Android update). After checking every setting that could have affected this, I noticed the notification problem. So, everyone be sure your notifications are on for this app to work, whether you turned off notifications or not. Aren't updates fun? 😀
