Versa 3 has to updated daily

My fitbit will sync for 12 to 18 hrs then loses connection with my phone/fitbit app.  I have to factory reset the versa 3 and delete the app and restart almost every single day.  Each day I have to restart it does an update.   Why!?

It's fairly common for devices to lose connection occasionally. If they are too far apart, this can happen, but I suspect you've already considered that.

Let's try this: the next time your device loses connection to your watch, turn off your phone's Bluetooth, force close the app, and while Bluetooth remains off, restart your watch. Once it restarts, turn Bluetooth back on and open the app; it should begin syncing.

The update you mentioned is likely due to the daily factory resets you've been performing. Since you're erasing all device data with each reset, this also removes any updates. When you set up the device again, it needs to download the latest available firmware.

Unfortunately this is not a fix to the problem. Once it disconnects it
will not reconnect and sync. Thanks

In order to better understand the issue, I'd like to know a couple of things more. 

Can you let me know if you have granted all the necessary app permissions on your phone? If not, let's start by checking that. You can follow the steps described here.

Yes. I have done all the necessary items. This fitbit versa 3 has never
been an optimal product. It may sync for 24 hrs and then stop. It will
not re sync. I have force stopped the app, turned Bluetooth off and on.
Turned the tracker off and on, restarted the phone. The only thing that
works is to factory reset the tracker and attempt to reconnect the phone to
the device. It usually takes about 45 minutes and about 3 tries.
