I wear my Fitbit snug, it's just above my wrist bone, because that's where it slides to even if I try to wear it higher as recommended, also that high is weird for a watch and not comfortable..
I've noticed recently while biking to work that it is not tracking my heart rate with any accuracy... Which means my estimated calories burned is also going to be off. I'm aiming for a calorie deficit to achieve weight loss, so this is important to me.
Versa 3 is reading my heart rate at 70. I'm out of breath, stop and manually take my heart rate... it's 140. I've done this a few times and when exercising it's reading half of what it should be?
It's close enough to accurate when I'm sitting around...
For the cost of it - it should work better.

Sadly my Versa 3 has also now kicked the bucket.. I'd like to get another Fitbit... Do you happen to know which of their devices has the most accurate heart rate tracking for exercise and not just at rest?

@Aim - what has happened to your Versa 3?
Before giving up on it be sure to fully troubleshoot in case it is a minor resolvable problem.
If you do need to buy a new smartwatch be sure to include other makes in your choice. Some have more accurate HR and more features but if you want only Fitbit, a Versa 2 may have more accurate HR though it may not be as perfect as you like all the time.

I'm not sure what happened, I woke up to a Fitbit that was unresponsive. Assuming just a dead battery - despite charging it the evening before, I put in on a different port and attempted to charge. This resulted in a hot to the touch device that still had no lights on the back and a screen that didn't light up. So I contacted support and went through all their suggestions of things to try.. Sadly no luck.. I think I'd had it for about 2 years, with no issues other than decreasing battery life (which I expect in all aging electronics) then it apparently bit the dust on me.
Thanks for all your helpful input!
