After getting the message about the possibility of Versa 3’s overheating, I thought I wouldn’t bother ( had the same thing with an Ionic a few years ago and the place I bought it from sent me an email offering a swap / refund which, so I got a Versa 3).
Anyway, I ignored the pleas and kept resetting my clock face from the pleading message back to my normal one. Kept this up for about seven days until Friday night (14th) when the watch decided enough was enough and put a static message on the display and my only option was to upgrade.
I was instructed to bring up the app and put the watch on charge. The Bluetooth link had gone so I had to remove the device from the app and re-join it. Eventually, I got it to upgrade and everything seemed to be fine so I went to sleep on a 99% charge.
Now, the upgrade messages said that to counteract the overheating possibility, the battery operation would be modified and I would have to charge a little more option. It’s only just dropped to 98% (in the region of about 48 hours).
Anyone else noticed this?
