Versa 3 is deducting steps or not tracking them at all

So yesterday I went on a hike and my Versa 3 was tracking steps fine. Got home and it was showing 20026 steps. Woke up this morning and it’s changed it to 19,000. Then it’s been stuck at 760 all day, turned it off and restarted it and now it’s showing 669 steps. With the battery being rubbish the last few weeks too, it’s annoying. Only a couple of months old. So frustrating. Any advice?

Hi there, @harriet2720. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from and how frustrating this can be.

While reading your post, I was wondering if you sync your Fitbit device periodically? Did you sync Versa 3 before going for a hike (when you reached the 20K steps)?

If you didn't sync your Fitbit device before that hike or not even the day before yesterday, please note that what happened to you is an expected behavior. You should have logged in to sync the tracker before you began wearing it.

However, please note that you can try manually logging the activity. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

As for your Versa 3 being stuck at 669 steps, try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
