Hi there, @nfeltonme.. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your sleep data.

As a first approached, I'd recommend to sync your Versa 3 to the app after waking up. This will help to make sure that all your data is sync properly.

Also, note that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.

To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Hope this helps.

I have the same issue of not recording properly. I've even tried turning on the sleep mode when I went to bed, and shortly after I woke up. I should have at least 6.5 hours total, but for some reason it only recorded about an hour and a half of sleep and awake time. This has been consistent for the last couple of months. I think the last "accurate" sleep read I had was in December.

Same here. Getting old isn't the problem. I had a Charge 5 with the same issue.  Replaced with a Versa 3 when I was told there was new sleeo recording software. NOT. I've had the Versa 3 about a week, and it accurately recorded my sleep the first 2 nights.  After that, it recorded the first couple of hours, then a 2 to 3 hour break, then began tracking again.  There are no breaks in my sleeping.  My wife is a VERY light sleeper and can attest to it.  The sleep score is based only on the "second" sleep period so it is inaccurate. After several days of recording my sleep in this way, it then failed to record my sleep from the time I went to sleep (usually around 10) until the time I got back to bed after a brief bathroom visit.  Then it began recording.  Got 2.39 hours of sleep last night according to the watch.  So low it didn't record, since it was less than 3 hours.  I have tried synching morning and night; I have tried deleting sleep history.  My wife's Inspire HR tracks sleep with no problems.  This is obviously a software issue. When will there be a fix? On a positive note, otherwise, I love the Versa 3.  A real disappointment that the support person stated that the sleep recording problem was solved with the Versa 3.  Obviously, they were aware of the problem.

I am still having the same problem. Sometimes it shows that I go to sleep at 1 or 2 in the morning when in fact I am often fast asleep by 10-30
I just ignore it now

My Versa 3 isn't tracking my sleep accurately.  It says I only slept last night for 3 hours.  Is there a way to change it so it reads accurately?  Thanks!

Sorry, I have no idea. From the answers I get from FITbit are of no help.

Thanks for responding.  Most of the time I figure it out myself.  Just a bit frustrated because I know I got a good nights sleep.

I’m having he same issue. I’ve yet to purchase a Fitbit product that tracks my sleep accurately and consistently. I sleep at least eight hours each night and my Versa 3 might record two hours at most. I don’t understand why hey can’t fix this issue. Very disappointed ☹️

Same problem here.  See my rather exhaustive post from 6-5-22.  There has been no improvement, other than,OCCASIONALLY, it gets it right.  It seems to ignore my sleep before midnight, then a 1 to 2 hour break, then it records the last 3 or 4 hours of the night.  I go to bed pretty much the same time every night, 10 PM, and get up anywhere from 5 to 6 in the morning.

Is anyone looking into what is obviously a software problem?  The last coordinator entry from February, 2022?
