Versa 3 is not tracking my sleep times accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

At least once or twice a week, my Versa3 is way off on the sleep onset time. For example, I might go to bed at 11:30 and the Versa3 will record that I went to sleep at 3:14am. I would know if I was staring at the ceiling that long. Is there something I could do to improve this?

Hi there, @Larry02139. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your sleep data.

As a first approach, please restart your Versa 3 by following these steps. Then, please take into consideration the following information to properly get your sleep stages and details:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Now that I rebooted my Versa3, sleep data is not recorded in the app, only
daily step totals.

@Larry02139 Please make sure you've synced your Fitbit device. If you're running into syncing issues, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
