So I have had other fitbits in the past and have loved them. I just purchased the versa 3 and have not been pleased with it at all. I have noticed that calories burned when exercising seems weird. So I can go on a 40 minute slow walk around the neighborhood and burn double the calories that I do in my intense HITT 40 minute work out or my 40 minute weight training class. How is that possible? I seriously walked super slow and only 1.5miles and burned double the calories. My heart rate during the walk stayed below all the zones at 110 and my heartrate for the other work outs averages about 150. Makes no sense. I kind of want to return this and buy something else.

Hi there, @aheine223. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 3. @deiG Thanks for helping out!
Have you recently updated your profile settings such as height, age etc.)? If you did, I'd double check your personal information to see if your weight and height were properly set, it may worth the try. To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?
Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned.
Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.
Hope this helps.

I have similar experiences. It seems Fitbit count calories mainly basing on steps. If I run and walk the same distance, the latter gets more calories just because it takes more steps.

This response was of no value. All my personal information is correct and the calorie burned numbers are not even close to accurate. I primarily walk (a lot) of calories burned as off the chart high.
