Does anyone else notice their hr is tracking much lower than before?
In the middle of a strenuous workout, it registers as 110 or so. I have an Apple Watch to compare which is registering much higher. I also wore my old versa and it registered higher too. Any ideas?

I've had my first workout with it not recording the heart rate properly in 2 months...when I stopped the tracking the actual watch face has it much higher....so it seems to be an issue with the set trackers like circuit weightlifting etc. a software update should rectify this

I had a Charge 3 and is now using Versa 3. In my experience, Versa 3's heart rate is much more accurate than Charge 3.
There were times when I doubted the heart rate readings, I stopped to check my pulse by placing two fingers on the wrist and look at my clock face at the same time (my clock face has seconds). And I always ended up finding the readings were correct.

I am noticing the same thing with my old iconic vs a new sense. As part of recording a “workout” (since “indoor rowing”/erging is challenging to capture), I erged for 10 minutes and recorded 0 active minutes. Another workout I was recording weightlifting in which I do more like a nonstop circuit (normally to stay in at least a fat burning zone) and also recorded 0 active minutes.
Even doing “brisk walks” I was at least getting into the burning fat zone with the iconic, and now it appears I am not with the sense.
I don’t think it can all be wrist position and sensors…
thanks for any additional help!

@Davem48 Thanks for bumping this thread. Fibit told me this has only been a known issue since February. This is the oldest thread yet about this that I know of. There is no solution. If you complain enough, Fibit will say they're working on it. For 10 Months? Maybe return it if you still can?

What a waste of time and money the fitbit are now. They don't track the heart rate - it is way too low when exercising and no one in customer support has a clue what to do. I've had 2 replacement versa 3 and a sense now - all crap. Versa 2 was accurate, no just a waste of time

I guess there hasn’t been any real viable solutions…still seems as though I can only run fast to get active minutes…my workaround has been to try and do 2-3 minutes fast pace (treadmill/intervals) and then do some other exercise in between…like weights. Then if it drops, go back to a fast pace set.
Problem becomes motivation due to lack of variety in workout options…

It's ridiculous. Complete waste of money. I mainly do weights and this is useless - I'm sweating loads training hard and the sense says heart rate 90. Completely useless and it appears fitbit got no appetite to fix the issue.

I had to return my Versa 3 because of this exact same issue. Did you not have this with Versa 2? Because then I'll be buying that instead.

This isn't a matter of the versa 3 being off by 4-5 bpm. Mine is consistently low by 50-70bpm for my entire cycling workout, compared with a wahoo chest strap sensor, which is very accurate. I have tried all the solutions on this forum but nothing helps. I bought this primarily for the fitness tracking and am finding it to be useless.

@moonlightlines I got a Versa 2 while they were still available. What did you do?

I noticed a lower reading of more than 10 with my Fitbit when I'm sitting. Checking on either finger on the two meters I have are usually pretty close to the same. I'm not going to be able to depend on my Fitbit because I'm having issues with my pulse rate staying too high. 😔

I have two Versa 3s in the family. Mine works fine when resting or doing anything less than 100ish BPM, once I start exercising it often registers 30 to 40+ BPM below actual. I borrow the other Versa3 and put it on the other wrist, it works properly. Why does mine not work consistently at the higher rates? It comes and goes and usually is in the 'accurate' zone about 15 or 20% of the time.
