I live in Florida and I know it uses barometric changes to measure floors . Is it possible the atmosphere/weather changes so frequently it's counting to many floors?

Hi there, @Star_Dust86. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 3.
As a first approach, I'd like to reinforce that your Fitbit devices may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see: Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
If you want to remove floors from your account, please follow these steps.
Hope this helps.

Hi @Star_Dust86 - unlikely, the fault is more with the firmware.
If you are interested in how your watch pressure sensor is behaving or whether you can get a more accurate floor count, you can verify you don't have a watch problem by using the SimpleFloors app.
The App shows how your watch is affected by environmental issues such as, going room to room, upstairs/downstairs, inside to outside, changes in temperature, etc.
Restarting the watch may improve things.
This App is meant for checking purposes as it uses the battery a lot, but at least it will give you an idea if your watch is fine or if it is some other issue.

I have noticed that my versa will count a hill as a “floor.” My s/o and I often go hiking and if I walk up a hill it counts it. Not sure what the fix is, but this happens to me as well.

@hopekateking - the watches always count elevations of 10 feet as a floor by default but SimpleFloors doesn't, nor the random ones, it attempts to track real floors only.
