My Versa 3 has been having elevation issues for months now. It tells me that I'm averaging around 50 floors of elevation per day when I know that I have done less than 10.
Every time I contact support, I get the same copy and pasted response saying that it's "firmware" which is a bunch of nonsense. By scrolling through these forums, it seems that this has been an issue with the Versa series for years and they refuse to fix the issue or replace the device, just to wait for this mythical firmware that will never come out.I have tried all of their recommendations to fix this issue and nothing works.
I have been using fitbits for years and after this service experience I will be looking elsewhere unless they attempt to be a decent company and help me resolve this issue. By far the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

@Erk_ The floor counts have never been super accurate. My Charge 3 was the worst and counted wildly high floors even though I live in a flat area and don't have regular access to stairs.
I know it's frustrating, but the floors do not affect your calories burned or any other metrics. You could remove the tile from the dashboard entirely. I'd say the floor count is really only useful if you're an avid hiker and want to see how high you climbed, but if you aren't hiking, I'd just suggest removing it from the app entirely so at least you don't have to see it.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

@Erk_ have you tried shutting down your tracker. Doing this step is the only way to restart the hardware.
BTW a 10 foot rise in elevation produces a change in air pressure equivalent to the weight of a 1/2 by< 3 inch piece of paper.
Wind is a huge factor in stair accuracy.

I've noticed this in the past few days too. Yesterday it gave me the Lighthouse badge (50 floors in a day) and today it's got 69
so far. I usually have at least 10 but there's no way I have 50, I doubt 25 even. Not sure what the heck it's counting... standing up???

It may be, or have been, a firmware issue so firstly check you are at the latest level as reports of this happening has decreased.
Also you can try the SimpleFloors app to test how your watch pressure sensor is working and if you get a better result with older firmware versions.
