Hello @Flyfishermen
Sometimes this can occur if your near, let’s say a fan running or even opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather. Mine goes a bit bonkers if I have a really nasty storm coming in. But if the problem persist you can try restarting your Fitbit Versa 3 to see if that fixes the problem: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm.
😃 I hope this gave you an answer and explain what possible could be going wrong and help with restarting as well if needed. Please let me know

Hello again @Flyfishermen
Since your Fitbit Versa 3 sounds like it’s giving you stairs you didn’t climb AND registering more miles then your actually doing you should try and do a Versa 3 restart as I suggested in my previous post. Please look here to see how to properly restart your Versa 3 : https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm. You will not lose any data doing a restart.
😉 Hopefully that will help with your Versa 3 accuracy. Keep me posted

Hello @Johann60
Are you experiencing inaccuracies in your stair climb numbers “AND” steps as the original poster is experiencing? If so restarting your Fitbit tracker may help. I’m aware of the “stair issue” but this may be a different issue since it affects more then just stair count.

Hello again @Flyfishermen
You said your steps registered 4500 steps in the last hour or so. Have you been actively walking around? I can get that many steps easily walking around doing things at a pretty good pace. If you feel your steps are more accurate since restarting your Versa 3 then as stated there are many experiencing step issues being discussed in the forums. It’s currently a know issues with no solution at the moment but it does sound as if restarting your Versa 3 did at least correct your step issue. Hopefully the Stair Issue will be addressed soon and a fix will be forthcoming soon.
