A few weeks ago my Fitbit versa 3 started counting way to many floors. My walking routines have not changed yet I am getting anywhere from 50-100 extra floors a day!! I can’t image this is just because the summer months have arrived and the weather is different. My activity levels have not changed. I have restarted a couple of times but it doesn’t seem to help the problem. Was there recently a new update that could have caused this?

Hi @Snoopyfan99 - yes, this is a firmware problem, you will see in the forums many reports of it and there is no fix at the moment. It's not a watch problem generally.
If you want to see how your pressure sensor is working, try the SimpleFloors app, it won't fix it but you will get a better picture of what is happening.

Hi there, @Snoopyfan99. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.
As @Guy_ has mentioned, we’re aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.
As friendly reminder, I'd like to reinforce that your Fitbit devices may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see: Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

How does this affect the final total for calories burned ? No way am I burning calories for 100-125 floors a day.
Are we to do our own manual calculations?

HI @SunsetRunner - don't worry, for some reason apparently floors aren't counted towards calories.
