Hello,
I walked up 598 feet in elevation. My Versa 3 calls that 15 floors. Can that be correct?
Thanks

Hi @Bethjo1214 - it depends.
Floors are normally measured in a number of steps which incur an elevation of 10'
Gradual elevation change (over a greater number of steps than it would take for a floor change may not be counted) nor will rides in an elevator.
Measurements are only approximate, because it depends on how you do floors, if you hold the bannisters or not, and some atmospheric issues.
Floors cannot be used as an altimeter. For that use an altimeter app or clock face, a basic one is SimpleFloors which will give you an idea how it is working for a test, as it uses more battery.

Hi there, @Bethjo1214. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. We're here to help you!
Please note that your Fitbit device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking your activity in this help article How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Said that, here are some of the possible causes for this inaccuracy:
If you want to delete the extra floors, please see How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?
@Guy_ Thanks for your input!
