Hi there, @jwilder. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand how you must be feeling.

As @Guy_ suggested, to prevent this from keeping happening, try using the sleep mode on your Versa 3. When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in the quick settings.

Sleep mode turns off automatically when you set a sleep schedule. To set a schedule:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Quiet modes.
  2. Under Sleep mode, tap Schedule mode > Off-hours.
  3. Tap the start or stop time to adjust when the mode turns on and off. Swipe up or down to change the time, and tap the time to select it. Sleep mode automatically turns off at the time you schedule, even if you manually turned it on.

You can't turn on do not disturb and sleep mode at the same time. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Hi @jwilder - a few things to try which might help.

  • Set a sleep schedule on the watch
  • If you are left handed try switching arms at night or wear under arm.

It is probable you accidentally push the button or long pushing on the screen.

You can also change what is assigned to long button press in the watch Settings.

I have these settings set up correctly and yet it's like my watch forgets it's supposed to be in sleep mode and only wake when I push the button.

It's really frustrating as I write this at 4am after my watch screen woke me up, again.
