Versa 3 isn't tracking my swimming activity accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have now used my versa 3 for swimming 3 times, trouble is it’s recording incorrectly or am I doing something wrong.

I set it in exercise and swim 30 lengths in a 25m pool.

When I check the data on my phone it said today I had swum 41 lengths…..
previous occasion it said 53 lengths and the first time 56 lengths

Am I not setting it up properly.

Hi there, @Wellsie59. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Inconsistencies in your swim data may be caused by any of the following:

  • You completed only a few laps
  • You stopped to rest multiple times or in the middle of the pool
  • You stopped to rest for longer than 60 seconds after completing a pool length
  • You changed your stroke type midway through a length
  • You swam with a kickboard or without using your arms
  • You swam less than the minimum duration needed for your swim to be automatically recognized

For more information, see How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

  • All of the above do not apply.
  • I swim swim consistently for 30 lengths, if I stop at the end of a length it’s never for more than 30 secs
  • i always swim breast stroke and I never stop during length only at the ends and if I stop its never more than 30 secs.
  • watch is set to 25m
  • I only swim breast stroke.
  • I always use my arms
  • i swim for at least 45 minutes
