Versa 3 not charging

Recently (broadly since the google enforced app update although I don't think firmware was updated) I have been having a few issues with Versa 3.

The current issue is a lack of charging. It went from 60% battery in the morning to dead whilst undertaking my cycle home, and seemed to be stuck in a constant vibration for a while. This may have been water related (it was raining) causing the haptic button to be 'pressed' erroneously.

I had it sat on its charger plugged into a wall outlet over night. No change.

Plugging it into a computer would give a usb connected sound, and then about 3 seconds later a disconnected sound. This would continue repeating and after leaving it for an hour no change in the status of the watch.

Plugging it into a power bank which has light indication when charging shows an initial draw of power and then nothing.

Holding the button to switch it on/restart gave an initial vibration and then nothing more. Now it seems there is not enough battery left.

I have tried 3 different charger cables, all had the PC usb detected sound response. Now with battery apparently drained there is no response.

A week or so ago I had a similar rapid drain from seemingly innocuous use (I do not have always on display nor phone connected via bluetooth). I had also recently had to unpair and repair the watch to have it sync properly.

Overall I have been fairly disappointed with the Versa which I got after the Ionic recall, the ionic on the other hand I had no issues with.

I am open to any suggestions, but so far cleaning both the watch and charger contacts with alcohol, agitating the charging pins, and leaving it to charge have done nothing to help illicit a response.

Hi @hennycare - it might just be a syncing problem which is providing misleading [old] information if that is where you are getting the battery level from, in conjunction with a charge cable fault.

However the connect /disconnect sounds when plugged into a computer denotes a failure [which could just be the cable but more likely the watch]. See here first before replacing the watch under warranty How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
