Versa 3 not counting floors properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi!

my versa 3 seems to be having issues counting my stairs. Yesterday it clocked me in at 114 flights, but I was at my desk all day. Any ideas as to whether it can be recalibrated or is there another way to solve this issue?

Thanks!

Hi @Staceyjf Fitbits use air pressure to calculate stairs. I live in an area where there is a lot of weather (and hence air pressure) changes and my Fitbits are all innaccurate on stairs. I have just given up looking at that stat! However, try Restarting   your Versa 3 a couple of times and see if that helps.

Thanks so much for this - it makes a lot of sense. Our weather has been all
over the place lately. Cheers!

my friend and I were together all day. Mine counted 55 stairs as we went up a 400 step climb, hers counted 114. Hers always counts more than mine. Could hers be faulty?

Hi! Unfortunately, I’m not sure. I would expect both to be clocking the
same numbers for the same ascent. Maybe the watch can be reset?

Hi @Putmania - any watch on the latest firmware that mis counts floors is likely to be faulty.

If you restarted the watch and it still does it you can always try a factory reset but it is unlikely to resolve it and just create a lot of bother if the watch is otherwise working normally.

It should be noted that floors shown come from going up stairs or walking up elevations and have no bearing on other values, so essentially can be ignored, if they are incorrect.

If the watch is under warranty it can be replaced but there is no guarantee the replacement won't have other faults that your current watch doesn't have.

Hi I have the same issue, I have noticed for the past weeks that my fitbit has been counting many stairs that I didnt take, for example this months I'm mostly working from home and even when I go out i used the elevator yet it would count something liek 200 stairs !

I'm not sure what has changed, I have the watch for a year now and it was pretty accurate before but started acting weired couple of weeks ago ! I have just logged a support ticket & it's escalated so hopefully someone will check from the backend what might have caused this (suspect that there's a bug or something). I will keep you posted !

Yes please! If there’s a glitch I’ll log a support ticket too. Hopefully
that’ll do the trick. Thanks for sharing!
