Versa 3 not tracking runs accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Is anyone having problems with Versa 3 tracking your runs? I do parkruns which is 5k and my versa 3 say 4.8k. Also my mum and I did the same run and her Fitbit Inspire said 5.6k and mine said 5k. When my mum does parkrun with her fitbit inspire hers says 5k and my Versa 3 says 4.8k.

I have done everything Parkrun has suggested. As a runner, this is getting frustrating

A warm welcome to the community @Tabitha12.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding this difficulty with your Versa 3.

Please note when you track an activity with GPS, your device calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, your device calculates distance using your steps until GPS connects.

To update your stride length, track a run with GPS or measure your stride length manually. For more information, see Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?

For more information about GPS, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

As a friendly reminder, please note it's normal that you see a difference when you are comparing your data with another person, this is because Fitbit devices record your data based on your personal information (age, gender, weight and height).

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I do not start running till it says connected to GPS

Also, my mum and I are both female and have similar height and weight.

I have tried restarting my Fitbit and changing the stride length and it did not help.

So there is a problem, anyone else having the same issue?
