Versa 3 over heated and shut down

My fit bit versa three is only two months old and it’s not charging, just gets really hot and I have to unplug it. It comes on for a minute and goes off again. I’ve tried several times to charge it after I Let it cool down. The first time it got so hot it was too hot to touch. I haven’t let it charge long enough for it to do that again. It won’t take charge anyways. What do I do
