i didn’t wear my watch for two weeks because the sports band was quite literally rubbing my skin off. yesterday, i finally decided that it was okay to be worn again. I charged it for 30 minutes like i usually do, the first red flag was that it didn’t fully charge after 30mins like it usually does. it charged up to 75% and was extremely warm to the touch when i unplugged it. i didn’t think too much about it because i was on my way out the door to get to work in time. within the 10min it took to get to work the battery dropped to 7%. within the next 10 minutes that i was in the building, the watch never cooled down and it died. i let it sit overnight last night without charging or using it to see if it would reset it in some way and that did nothing. i plugged it in this evening and let it charge for 1hr to see if it would charge all the way. i kept checking it after 30min but by the time the 1 hour was over it wouldn’t go past 99% and once again it was very warm to the touch. i put it on anyway and decided to track the battery percentage and sure enough it has dropped from 99% to 75% in the matter of 20 minutes. i have no extra apps that i have downloaded l, just the ones that came on the watch, checked if there was an update available and even deleted all the clock faces i downloaded to my app except for the original one and it is still warm while wearing it on my wrist and the battery has continued to drop. I haven’t even had this watch for 1 year yet so i’m very upset that it’s acting up. the last fitbit i had was the fitbit ionic and it got recalled for overheating so i got a discount for this watch after getting reimbursed for my old one but my money has definitely gone to waste.

Hi @cxd704 - if the watch over heats during charging stop it immediately as it is dangerous. Unfortunately the cause is internal damage, possible from moisture getting in.
As it is under warranty it can be replaced. chat again via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.
