Versa 3 "Data not cleared, sync and try again"

Hi, the side button on my versa 3 stopped working a while ago along with its ability to i sync, I have tried several fixes as advised in the help section as well as resetting,  reinstalling etc without success.  Battery charges ok but the watch is unusable. Today it started beeping and has a red cross on the screen with the words 'data not cleared, sync and try again'. Any advice please. I think the watch is about 2 years old

Thank you so much for letting us know about your Versa 3, which is showing a red cross and the error message "Data not cleared, sync and try again".

I suggest you try this:

  • Turn Bluetooth off on your phone, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your watch and your phone.
  • Remove your Fitbit device from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your smartphone or tablet:
    • On your phone, tap Settings, then tap Bluetooth.
    • Tap the information icon or gear icon next to your Fitbit device name.
    • Find an option to remove the device.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
