A couple of choices: Screen Wake or Sleep Mode. You can access both scrolling left (swiping right) from clock face to Quick Settings.

Screen wake is the icon with watch; you can change it from Automatic to Manual so it only lights up with button press; but then you have to remember to switch it back in the morning if you want it to come on with wrist turn.

Sleep Mode - the icon with the moon; you can toggle it on or off similar to Screen Wake, but it also does a few other things to avoid sleep interruptions: turns on 'do not disturb' and sets brightness to Dim.  If you have a regular sleep schedule, you can set the hours for when to turn sleep mode on and off so you don't have to remember it.  You can set that in Settings > Quiet Modes.

Sleep mode also sets screen wake to manual, so you don't have to do it as well.

Hence @JohnnyRow   good suggestion to setup a sleep schedule in Settings on the watch.

And as a side benefit you get better battery life during a sleep schedule with less screen activity and brightness.

If you switch on the quiet mode toggle on the watch does it have a specific time it goes off at night and come on in the morning?

Hi @SBFFC  - you need to gof further down in the settings to set a schedule for it to go into sleep and out at specific times.

If you turn on Sleep Mode in Quick Settings, you have to turn it back off yourself, but in the full Settings App as @Guy_  noted, you can set the on/off schedule yourself.

So I have sleep mode set to start at 11pm and turn off at 7am... But my screen still wakes me up at night by turning on when I roll over. I literally took my watch off and shoved it under a pillow at 3am!

What gives?

Hi @BadRabbit - did you check the sleep schedule is working, after 11pm press the button, swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings and make sure Sleep is turned on, Always On is off and Wrist wake will be off.

If it still wakes you and you are left handed wear it on the other arm at night, you could be getting accidental button presses

Lastly if it is none of those, change the clock face to another one.

Ok, thanks.

I even have it set to wake on button push only. So it's really frustrating.

I love my watch face, but I'll try another one and see if that helps. 👍

@BadRabbit- you don't say if you get a vibration as well, but a few things to verify.

  • Firstly restart the watch to clear any current problems.
  • Check that the sleep settings correctly cover the period you intend to sleep and aren't 12 hours out.
  • As mentioned if you are left handed try wearing it on your left arm at night.
  • Make sure you don't have any alarms set, if you also get vibrations
  • Sleep mode will disable wrist wake, so if you can set that during sleep mode, sleep mode is not active.
