about 2 months ago my versa 3 has stopped tracking any distance , it stays on 0.00 everyday . It also does not display messages or WhatsApp’s but does for any notifications. The display on the clock face also is distorted as it has an old clock face burnt in on it. Pretty pointless watch at the moment. Fitbit are you able to help please?

Hi there @Meghanandaudrey! Thanks for joining the Fitbit Community and for sharing the situation you're having with your Versa 3, which doesn't track any distance anymore, displays no messages or WhatsApp's and the display on the clock face is distorted. I'll be glad to help you.

To fix the display issue I suggest you try this:

  • Please sync your Fitbit with the Fitbit app.
  • Then restart your Fitbit: press and hold the side button for 10 seconds.
  • Change the clock face:
  • In the Fitbit app, while your device is nearby, tap the "Today" tab, then the device icon (top left), then your device.
  • Tap "Gallery", then the "Clocks" tab.
  • Please select a clock face from Fitbit. Tap the clock face you want, then "Install".
  • Sync your Fitbit with the Fitbit app again.

For the distance not being tracked, you can try this;

  • Change your stride length as follows:
  • First, measure your stride length automatically or manually:
  • Automatically: After you record a run with GPS, your stride length will update automatically. For best results, run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes.
  • Manually: Go to a place where you know the distance, such as a track. Then count your steps along that distance. You should take at least 20 steps. Divide the distance you walked (in yards or meters) by the number of steps you took to determine your stride length. If necessary, convert your stride length to inches or centimeters.
  • Then add your stride length to the Fitbit app:
  • On the Today tab, tap the tile "Exercise days".
  • Tap the three-line menu > Activity Settings >“Stride Length”.
  • Adjust your stride length.
  • Sync your Fitbit with the Fitbit app.
  • In the Fitbit app, on the Today tab, tap the device icon in the top left corner.
  • Tap the device you want to sync.
  • Tap "Sync Now" at the bottom of the page.
  • Finally, please try doing a workout, for example: walking. After your workout, please sync your Fitbit with the app again.

For the notifications I suggest you read this article and verify you met all requirements: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
