Versa 3 stopped recording miles

My versa 3 has stopped recording mileage even though my step count is correct. Does anyone else have this problem? Fitbit help say it is a fault with them but my friends is still recording her mileage.

Hi, @Katybarnes11! This is a known issue, you can bypass it for now by manually entering in your stride length. Go into settings-->exercise-->stride length, and enter a value.

Thanks for confirming. It’s been like this since the start of August. I am not a programmer but would like to know in simple terms, how this error has occurred and why it is taking so long to resolve.

i guess I will just have to wait.

This has happened to me too, it's really annoying

My Versa 3 stopped calculating miles this past Saturday afternoon (8/17).  It would be helpful for Fitbit to acknowledge this is a "known issue" if it is and when a fix may be implemented.  Other metrics seem to be functioning.  Thanks.

I have the same/similar issues. For me it is mostly occuring for walking and not for running (same round/lap and big difference in length). Guess this is because the stride length is entered for walking and running seperately, with one functional difference (according to me): The stride length is automatically calculated for running but not for walking.

Nevertheless, seems like a fairly easy thing to fix but the app maintenance and improvement is not what it should be unfortunately

Same issue here! Clearly I don’t need 5,000 steps to get a mile.  I’m 5ft 6 in with an average stride length.  This just started happening today.  Fitbit, please fix this!

Hi, I contacted Fitbit again on my original case ref no. They were very apologetic and said the problem is with the app. They have know idea when it will be fixed, but are working on it.

Unfortunately amending my stride length manually created another problem, todays total would replace all previous days counts to the date the problem stated 1st August.

I guess we will just have to wait for the app to be corrected.
