Versa 3 stopped showing my Google calendar notifications

I have a Versa 3. I use a Pixel 4a. I use Google's reminders to help me to remember to do things. Those reminders appear on my Google calendar, but they don't appear or pop up or vibrate on my Fitbit. Can that be done?

Hi there, @Runninrep. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Google calendar notifications. @SunsetRunner Thanks for sharing one of my posts. 🙂

As a first approach, please grant the Fitbit app permission to access phone features in your phone settings. Tap Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions. If you’re unsure how to verify or change the settings on your phone, consult your phone manufacturer.

Then, I'd like to confirm you've followed all the steps below to properly setup calendar events on your Fitbit device:

  1. In the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > Gallery > Agenda. You might need to swipe up to find the app.
  2. Tap Settings. You’ll see all calendars linked to the default calendar app on your phone.
  3. Adjust the settings to choose which calendars to show on your device, the color for events linked to each calendar, and whether you want to see blocks of free time.

To view events in the Agenda app:

  1. Open the Agenda app on your device. You’ll see the events scheduled for today and tomorrow. Swipe up and down to scroll through the events.
  2. Tap any event to see details.

Note that the Agenda app shows up to 40 total events over 2 days.

You must allow the Agenda app to access your calendar and run in the background. For more information about adjusting an app’s permissions, see How do I install and manage apps on my Fitbit device?

If your events don't appear, check the following settings:

  • Location services must be turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • Calendar access must be turned on for the Fitbit app:
    • On Android phones, open the Settings app on your phone > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions > Calendar >make sure the access is set to Allow.

In addition, please see Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

Hope that helps.

I did have to make some of the adjustments you indicated, and it resulted in any event that I have on my calendar to appear in the Agenda option on my Versa 3.  However, I also have reminders, which are not events, that appear on my Google Calendar, but are not appearing in the Agenda option on my watch.

As I mentioned in my previous reply, any event that I have on my Google Calendar does notify me on my Versa 3. That works.  The issue is, I have a few daily reminders that are not events, that also appear on my Google Calendar, but are not events.  Is there a way for Versa 3 to notify me of Google Reminders, not calendar just events.

Hello again @Runninrep

I’m unaware if it’s possible to send Google Reminders to your Versa 3. I dug around and I can’t find any references to it. I can only find Calendar Events. If it’s possible I’m sure the moderator here will clarify.
I am happy that your Google Calendar Notifications up and running. 😉
