Versa 3 stopped syncing after upgrading my phone

I've had the versa 3 for around 6 months with no issues at all. Had a new phone last month and connected up easily and quickly. On Sunday I couldn't get the app to connect to the watch. Nothing happening, followed all instructions, tried various charging cables (Inc original) and its not even registering the watch. I've deleted and tried setting up from scratch and still can't see it on my phone, I've even tried it on my work phone and doesn't have connect to that one either. Any ideas on how to resolve would be appreciated.

Hi there, @Missfon88. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. @JohnnyRow Thanks for helping out!

It seems like your Versa 3 cannot connect properly to your new phone since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your watch and the old phone's Bluetooth which would explain the connectivity issues you're running into. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

"I couldn't get the app to connect to the watch."

Specifically, what do you mean by that?  What is the symptom that you saw?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi, the app can't find the watch. I've even tried a different fit bit and it works fine but my versa 3 doesn't show.
