Hi @Macca63 - if you factory reset a watch, due to a bug in the process, it is possible to brick it so it doesn't work anymore, especially if you don't give it time to complete the process.

Though charging it may wake it as suggested by @MarkMM .

Generally if you let it run down completely and try and start it, it will show 0%, and if partially charged will show nothing, then you know it's of no use anymore.

@Macca63 Putting it in the charger should wake it up?

Hi there, @Macca63. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out.

I agree with @MarkMM, as seems that the factory reset drained the battery and also looks like the battery may not be charging properly and therefore, it does not turn on. So, I recommend that you follow these steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable (both of them) using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If you continue having syncing difficulties, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hope that helps.

Hi @SunsetRunner - there exists a bug in the factory reset process that sometimes kills the watch.

However if it is something else try chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, they might just be able get it working from it's current state.

Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings and look for all Fitbit devices that show as paired.
Remove all of the Fitbit devices that show up.
Restart your phone.
Run the Set Up process once again as if you were using a brand new Fitbit.

Will

@SunsetRunner - how do you know it's fully charged? If you are looking in the Fitbit App, check when it last synced. It could be a while ago.

@SunsetRunner - if your watch is showing 100% when on charge can you do another factory reset with button?

@SunsetRunner  - it may not be responding to your touch, to operate the button squeeze the watch between thumb and first finger so that the fleshy part of the thumb covers the button.

Can you try the factory reset that support got you to do when it's on charge or when it's not charging whichever might work.
