Versa 3 stopped working after firmware update

My Versa 3 was working great for years until yesterday I was prompted to do a firmware update. It failed part of the way through and now just shows the Fitbit icon on the screen. I have tried restarting both my phone and my watch. I reached out to customer support and they just told me that it sounded like I had already tried everything so they would send me warranty information. You have got to be kidding me. This failure was caused by the company and now you are telling me that I should just buy a new one?!? This is absolutely unacceptable. When I asked the customer service rep if I would need to buy another, he just ended the chat...

Hi @malolauren - this is not unusual and Fitbit don't warrant software, which is strange. Even a factory reset can fail.

You might have some success with a factory reset done by button which support can take you through but if the watch boot software is not complete it will not help. Any offer of discount on a new watch will be for the newer more expensive models which don't have all the features you had.

They have not walked me through a factory reset and I cannot figure out how to do it myself. I reached out again and they just said that they can't help me and to buy a new one. Sounds like a scam to get people to keep buying new watches...
