So as i can see the versa 3 is marketed as waterproof. I have always been very careful however and never worn it in the shower etc. The other day i forgot to take it off when showering. After 30 seconds i realised and took it off immediately. No soap products etc touched the watch. After a few hours i realised its gone white and its not working can see water has gotten it. Ive tried drying recharging etc for a few days but its just completely dead. I can not understand how it can be marketed as such when its not the case (from the forum i can see this isnt an isolated incident). Fit bit seems to wash their hands if its out of warranty and i can't understand how they arent liable for false advertising. Ive completely lost faith in them. No more fitbit for me

Hi @R247 it's water resistant, not waterproof. There have been those who have gotten their devices to come back to life. Try putting it in a bowl of dry rice and let it set for a few days, then try charging it. If there was any moisture in the device when you put it on the charger, it may have fried your battery.

Hi there, @R247. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 has stopped working after getting wet. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, please try restarting your Versa 3 by following these steps.
If the restart doesn't work and your Versa 3 didn't vibrate during the process, I suggest trying the following:
As @Odyssey13 has mentioned, please note most Fitbit devices are water-resistant to 50 meters. They're designed to be swimproof and stand up to even the sweatiest of workouts. See our user manuals for specifics as to whether your device is swimproof or splashproof. For more detailed information, see Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?
