Versa 3 stopped working after swimming with it

I have a Fitbit Versa 3 that has failed due to water damage. This model is advertised as waterproof up to 50m. I spent an hour in the pool yesterday while wearing my device and it appears to be toast. It is endlessly power cycling on its own. The screen is mostly either blank or displays the fitbit logo. Occasionally the face will appear, but swipes and touches don't work. I contacted fitbit support and their "solutions" were to restart the device (doesn't work since the device is constantly doing this on its own) and to try changing the clock face for some reason (which also didn't work because nothing is syncing due to power cycling.) Their final tip was to do a factory reset, which surprise surprise, doesn't work while the device is continuously power cycling on its own. Has anyone experienced this and had any luck getting fitbit to actually resolve? Been a customer for 6 years and have owned several models and am very disappointed with this device failure and poor attempt at resolving by fitbit support.

Hi @Sam_M1 - it is unfortunate but it seems the watch is faulty and if under warranty still, 1 to 2 years depending on country law, take it back to where you bought it for replacement.
