Versa 3 stuck on Fitbit Logo

My new versa 3 (bought 2 months ago) is stuck in a restart loop. It had been working fine, was fully charged in the morning then a few hours later was showing the fitbit logo, then a while line would flash as the logo disappeared and the screen goes black, then it vibrates again and repeats every 10 seconds until the battery goes flat.

To troubleshoot I've tried holding the power button down to do a hard reset but the loop just continues.

I've let the battery run down and then charged it up, as soon as the charger connects the loop starts again.

I've tried doing a hard reset with the charger attached too.

My app can't sync to the fitbit at all. And from the last sync it says its fully up to date so not behind on any updates.

So frustrating as I can't even turn it off to stop the constant vibrating, I just have to let it run down by itself.

Your directions are only to reconnect the Fitbit to the app on the phone. Which is nothing of what he said. Mine is doing the same thing the logo stays stuck on the screen until the battery dies. We are asking how to get it out of that.......

Her directions are just to reconnect your Fitbit to your phone basically they aren't to help us with this issue mine is doing the same thing I used it for less than 2 months. Very expensive watch to only get 2 months of use out of!

The problem with this is on mine, you can hold it for a minute and the screen does not go off so it doesn't matter how long you hold the button the logo does not go away until the battery dies......

Unfortunately I'm not on Twitter.  I've only had the device since April. Three months. Extremely disappointed.

I relate to you! This is my 3rd Fitbit. I have been a loyal customer and they do not honor their warranty on this last watch Versa 3. I'm so disappointed! I'm switching to Garmin...I don't trust Fitbit anymore!

Same! Fitbit won't honor their warranty! I've called 5 times and did everything they said. Now they won't replace it

I've totally given up 3rd fitbit lasted less than three months. No
available contact or sensible help. I tried all the options mentioned.
Complete waste of time.

I’ve had my Versa 3 por 10 months, and suddenly its stuck on the Logo. I’ve tried to do the factory reset, 20  times but I never get the big red X it just comes back to the Blue Logo. I hoped when the battery drained something would happen, but the blue logo appeared again.
When I push de side “button” nothing happens I have been pressing the “strap buttons” as well. I don’t know if I’m not following the steps correctly. It seems I am but I keep getting the blue logo after all the press and release, and feel the vibration, and release again. It’s been imposible for me.
it’s my second Fitbit that breaks at around a year.

i am algo waiting for other brand suggestions at this point.

Same here. I'd contact Fitbit and let them replace it since it's less than
a year old. I think I may switch to Garmin products. I'm tired of this.
Even the new versa 3 I got doesn't work right.

Mine did this 2 months after use!. Then I bought a sense 2. It's messing
up after literally 2 months of use. I love the features but if it's going
to start having major flaws 2 months after use it definitely wasn't worth
the $230 I paid for the smartwatch

I am switching to Apple Watch. I'm not giving anymore money to Fitbit. I forgot the watch strap broke 3 weeks ago and I have yet to receive a replacement. What kind of watch falls apart in 10 months? I HATE waste. Now I'm supposed to just throw it in the trash.

The fitbit company said that if you bought it on Amazon it was probably 2nd hand and they won't cover it. Amazon is not a authorized dealer.

Same result I received via Fitbit chat. "From Amazon? Sorry, not our problem.", even though this is quite obviously a manufacturers' issue, not Amazon. I will never buy another Fitbit. I had this one for only 3.5 months to replace an old Surge model; $150 down the toilet. Buying an alternate brand. Fitbit isn't loyal to its customers, so why would I as a customer be loyal to them. (Rhetorical.)

I tried everything (including a hard reset) and nothing seemed to work. Was stuck with logo appearing vibrating and then shutting off. The Fitbit died and would only flash 0%.

After months of no Fitbit I decided to try and look for solutions once more. Seeing two people in this forum saying that a hard reset worked and the last person saying they had to try 4 times: I decided to attempt it once more.

i followed the hard reset steps mentioned above and after about 8 tries I saw the glorious red X and it worked!!!

After much anger, frustration & consternation I found this and after a few attempts it finally worked. Don't understand why these steps aren't more easily available, but THANKS for posting.

As for the new, "improved" app, it's hard to understand why such drastic changes are made. It's akin to putting the steering wheel of a vehicle in the rear, passenger side of the vehicle, i.e. it does little but confuse customers and seems to be more for the benefit of the manufacturers, (or maybe in this case, for Google tracking/monetization of our health/fitness data).

And now my replacement versa 3 has done the same thing less than 2 months

The following steps worked for me, but it took more than 1 attempt:

Please Note: THIS WILL GET RID OF ANY DATA ON THE WATCH

- Do NOT plug the versa in (but make sure there is some charge on it).

- Hold the button for 8 seconds, screen will go off. Keep holding.

- After it turns off, you will feel a short vibration. Release the button
and immediately press and hold again.

- Wait until the blue logo appears again, then immediately release and
press and hold again until you feel a vibration. Then release.

It is now factory reset.

Mine came up with a red cross after this, asking for sync. I did that and
then it worked again (:

I tried and tried. This is the fourth versa 3. Nothing has helped. Fitbit
suggests buying new versa 4.
