Versa 3 stuck on Fitbit logo

Hi all

I recently posted about my versa 3 vibrating and not doing anything else after not using it for some time. Come to find out power was at 0% and I had a bad charging cable. I have since charged it fully. The versa would not sync in the fitbit app and had the red exclamation. I followed instructions to remove it from the app, force close the app,.turn off Bluetooth, reset the versa 3 (hold for 20 seconds) and then restart phone and app. I cannot connect the versa 3 to my phone why I try to add it to my account. It just is never found in the Bluetooth search. App keeps asking to try again.  Fitbit logo is on versa.

Any thoughts on steps to fix this?

Thank you

Hi there, @johny3. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 is not responding so far. Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this issue before reaching out. I'll be glad to continue assisting you!

To better assist you, may I know how you verified that your Versa 3 was fully charged? Did you have the chance to see the battery level on it before it got stuck on the Fitbit logo?

Before proceeding with different troubleshooting steps, please make sure you've restarted your Versa 3 as described in this help article How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the restart doesn't work and you haven't felt a vibration on your watch during this process, confirm that you've tried the following steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your Versa 3 using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If you continue getting the Fitbit logo only, please connect your Versa 3 to the charger and try the following (while it's connected to the charging cable and even if  you've tried some of these steps already):

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Sorry if my post is too long, I just want to exhaust all steps we can try to bring your Versa 3 to life again.

Let me know how it goes.

hi!
battery indicator does not appear. It did appear as empty battery when I discovered that the old cable was bad.

For resetting versa 3 it says bottom and side buttons. Where is the bottom button? I thought versa 3 only had 1 button. I did reset with the single button.

I followed all of the steps above.  The last steps did not work either as it never connected and I got "is the versa powered on?"  I restarted it multiple times. It appears that the versa is not sending a bluetooth signal as my pc does not detect it either

just an updated.  I worked with support via twitter. looks like the versa bluetooth isn't working and it would NOT factory reset. they are sending a replacement free. great end result!
