Versa 3 stuck on message "To start download the Fitbit app"

When trying to connect my android 12 phone with versa 3. When trying to click on connect when versa appears on the list, there's a pop up that says that it requires the app. But the app is installed.

I am able to use 'find my phone' option though, so the divices kinda see each other.

Hi there, @Domimi. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand where your concern is coming from. 

As per the message on the watch's screen, it seems that your Versa 3 is asking to be paired to your Fitbit account again. With that said, I'd suggest following the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 3 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Remove the Versa 3 from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
