Versa 3 stuck on message "To start download the Fitbit app"

My Versa3 has been functioning perfectly till today. The screen states that I need to download the app. Which I already have. Now my watch is stuck at the screen stating to down load app.  Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Hi there, @Curlymike56. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. 

As per the message on the watch's screen, it seems that your Versa 3 is asking to be paired to your Fitbit account again. With that said, I'd suggest following the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 3 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Remove the Versa 3 from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @Curlymike56  - it would seem a factory reset was done, in which case it needs to be installed again.

In the Fitbit App click on profile photo and " + Set up a Device" see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
