Versa 3 stuck on "Set up your Wallet"

How has the constant notifications to “setup wallet “ not been fixed yet?
This is a blatant request for sensitive and private information that Fitbit seems very comfortable insisting on receiving from those who have no intention to ever  give it. When we don’t provide it you make the experience with your product intentionally miserable, blocking access to the TIME ON A WATCH, multiple times a day, so we can for the multiple hundredth time say we do NOT want to give you our bank account information!?   Seriously I’d have never purchased one of your products if I ever though your company would intentionally provide such an unbelievably poor user experience.

Usually that screen will appear when opening the wallet app on your watch by either tapping on it or with left button to access to the shortcuts. While it's not possible to delete the wallet app, please give a try to the following steps to reconnect your watch to your account:

  1. Remove the Versa 3 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your watch.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Select the Versa 3 and follow the onscreen instructions.

Additionally, please keep in mind that you can replace the Wallet App shortcut for any other option. To do so, on your Versa 3 swipe to Settings, tap, then swipe to shortcuts. It is here where you can configure what a single and double tap of the button will open. Replace the Wallet App for some other function.

Perhaps I did not describe the issue well enough.  I am not concerned about messages to set up the wallet when opening the wallet app.  It clearly would be needed in that context.

My concern is the repeated messages to "set up the wallet" when I simply want to know the time and have not interacted with anything related to the waller.

When my Fitbit screen is off, or when I have it set to be constantly on and tap the screen or side button to wake it up, this is when the message appears... not all the time, but regularly.  In the morning, the first thing I see when I tap my watch to see the time, is a message to set up the wallet. At any point during the day, when I want to see how many steps I've taken, or again just to check the time, I do not get to enjoy the functionality of a watch telling the time until I dismiss a message asking for a wallet setup for the hundredth time.  It is a really really really bad customer experience.

I also found this very annoying; though, i think i found a way to stop it on my Versa 3 watch.

1. On the watch swipe left and click settings.

2. scroll down and click on shortcuts.

3. For "Press and Hold" select another app or turn it off.

Mine was set to "Pay" and i chose to turn it off since its easy to end up pressing up against the button with your forearm, ending up with the annoying "set up your wallet" message. I figured itd be just as annoying if it was set to anything else and all I wanted to do was check the time.

Thank you so much for this! It’s been a constant annoyance, getting messages to set up my wallet when I simply want to see the time. Mine was set (presumably by default as I’d never gone to that setting) as yours was, so hopefully this change will fix that!
