Versa 3 stuck on the Fitbit logo after updating it

I have a Fitbit Versa 3 and just updated my Fitbits firmware after the notice came out a day ago.

After update, my Fitbit quickly dropped to 0% battery.

When attempting to charge it, it's stuck at the fitbit logo loading screen, despite attempts to power cycle it.

I've also performed troubleshooting found in other posts, to unpair it from my Fitbit app, unpair it from my phone, turn off Bluetooth, restart my phone, etc. (which are all external to the Versa, so unsure why they would help).

Versa 3 remains at the logo screen while charging. The watch seems to either not receive enough charge or is simply bricked from the update.

I contacted support and they advised me to try the following; it took four tries to finally get the Versa to break out of just showing the logo. When it did, it went to a blank/black screen, but apparently was in the process of doing a reset:

Note that you need to have the Fitbit charged to 25% to go through the pairing process.

Please let's do the following :
- To do a factory reset with the left button *Indentation*:
1 - Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
2 - Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
3 - After the screen turns off, you will feel a short vibration:
4 - When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
5 - Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
6 - Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it. again, until you feel a vibration.
7 - After you feel the vibration, release the button.
8 - This vibration indicates you started the factory reset.
After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.

To all with the same issue.  I found it was the charger to the Versa 3 that wasn't working 100%. I used the charger to a Versa 4, and immediately the watch went to the process of resetting, updating, connecting... etc.
