Versa 3 watches won't connect to the new phones

We had 2 Versa 3 watches and they both connected fine to our 2 Honor 9 lites. On Friday we purchased 2 Honor 50 lites and have been unable to get the Versa 3 to connect to either of the Honor 50s. We get as fair as putting in the pairing code and then it just sits on a page with the following message for 10 minutes and then says not working. ‘Sorry, the setup is taking longer than usual. Please be patient. We’re on it!’

The Honor 50s are both up to date with the latest software, which is Magic 4.2.0.178

I am at my wits end with this and don’t believe that Versa 3s stopped working at the same time, and I don’t believe 2 new Honor 50s are broke straight out of the box.

Please anyone help.

My experience is that is sometimes just takes a few tries to get past that step.  It also helps to keep one phone and one Fitbit isolated as much as possible from other bluetooth sources when connecting first time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @Emmettk90 -  this seems like a common problem when changing phones.

As @JohnnyRow  says, one watch and one phone at a time - which also means correctly disconnecting the watch from the old phone and logging out of the Fitbit App and making sure all other devices are off except the watch and phone being used to setup.

It may be possible that the watch thinks it's paired and linked to the old phone and won't accept pair and link to the new phone
