Versa 3 will not connect to Fitbit app

My Versa 3 is tracking, but the watch won’t connect to the app since upgrading to Google

Hi @KAM144 - this may be related more to the bugs in the new V4 Fitbit App. As a temporary measure try toggling off/on the Bluetooth and restarting the watch, and if necessary the phone and do a manual sync in the Fitbit App.

I'm in the same boat as OP. 

And have tried restarting the watch multiple times. After a while it will disconnect from the app and won't sync again til I restart.

Same here but my issues started before changing over to Google, I only changed over thinking that may solve the problem, if anything things became worse.  I've spent numerous hours trying every possible "remedy" but nothing works.  At the moment I have a glorified watch but can't do anything in the app.  I'm to the point I'm planning on binning the watch and going to a competitor if the app cant be fixed.
