Versa 3 won't charge and it's stuck on the Fitbit logo

Started to charge it for an hour but it remained stuck on logo. Took it off charge and hard reset for 10 seconds, vibrated and the shut off. Charging it shows 0% indicator.

Device is up2date with current software and was working perfectly well.

Unsure where to go now.

Hi there, @DKSY. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you!

Please follow the tips and recommendations provided in this help article Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? Let's try making sure both, your Versa 3 and charge are clean and free of any debris.

Also, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

Thanks for the quick response.
Just after messaging you it came on and is stuck on logo. It’s been like that over night. I’ve now cleaned the contact points and have placed it on charge. Will leave it for 2hrs. Any extra advice please?

Thank you

Daren

Hi MarreFitbit
Your tips were good thank you. It’s working again but the battery drain is horrific. A fully charged Fitbit on 100% has now died after 24hrs. This was with very low used (no exercise). Also found the alarms and notifications (text and calls) don’t trigger on the wearable (even though notifications are all on). Finally, when I pressed the side button the device shakes. Before it didn’t but still rewoke the screen.
Any thoughts or advice please?

Many thanks

Daren

@DKSY I'm glad to hear that the steps provided solved your issue.

About the battery drain, I was wondering if by any chance you're using Snore Detection? If so, please note that the Snore Detection feature does impact your device’s battery, so we recommend charging your device to at least 40% before going to bed. For more information, see How can I use my Fitbit device to detect snoring and noise levels while I sleep?

Additionally, I'd like to make sure you've taken a look at these tips and recommendations Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Speaking about the notifications, I'd recommend checking whether your Versa 4 is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing? depending on your phone.

Evening

Appreciate the detailed reply but it’s a Versa 3 model.
I have the same settings pre the malfunction. All settings checked & after multiple tests, the alarm doesn’t vibrate, calls, reminders & texts don’t notify on the V3 and the battery drain is astonishingly bad. From my view, it worked fine and lasted 4-6days perfectly well before. Just for it run out of battery reallly shouldn’t produce such failures. I’m really disappointed and it’s become a useless wearable. I took so much care of it. Lost faith somewhat in the device tbh.

What can be done please?

Kind regards

Daren
