Versa 3 won't connect anymore

No Bluetooth connection or Google assistant connection even vaguely possible.  "App is needed to continue"... they're is no other app.  It's the fitbit app. It's a simple Bluetooth connection. Which has been possible on much less sophisticated devices since the early 2000's. This is a transparent attempt by fitbit to disguise a "firmware error" as a ploy to push you to upgrade to a newer model. It is a simple fix. Fix it.

Hi there, @Khris091. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 is not connecting anymore. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, may I know if you're using an Android phone? Please note that a Fitbit (Android) App Bug that caused issues with Syncing and Pairing has been Fixed. If you're still experiencing pairing issues, I'd recommend upgrading to the FitBit App version 4.28.2 since it includes a Bug Fix. For more information, see How do I update the Fitbit app?

However, if you update to 4.28.2 and still encounter a pairing bug, I suggest you to restart your phone.

If restarting your phone still doesn't resolve the pairing bug, listed below are the recommended troubleshooting steps to solve these problems:

  1. Update [Android] Fitbit App to 4.28.2.
  2. Open the Fitbit App, on the Today tab tap on Devices (Device icon, top left).
  3. Delete any connected Fitbit Trackers or SmartWatches, if any are shown.
  4. Go to Android Settings, Bluetooth (Connected Settings) and "Forget" any Fitbit Trackers or SmartWatches if any are shown.
  5. Restart phone.
  6. Open the FitBit App, re-add the Tracker or SmartWatch (via the Devices icon, top left).
  7. From the FitBit App, Today tab, Tap/Hold near to the top of the screen and then drag down to perform a manual sync.
