Versa 3 won't connect to a new phone

My mom and I both recently upgraded our phones, her from a Samsung A13 to an A15 and myself from an Xperia 10 IV to an Xperia 10 VI.

Once I moved all her data over I noticed her Versa wouldn't sync on the new phone, I've tried multiple times & followed guides to fix but it won't work. The app just cannot see the device to connect, using her old phone it was detected instantly & reconnected without any issues.

Samsung help stated it was an issue on the fitbit side. They're right. I tried to sync my Versa to my new phone and... It cannot see it to connect. The exact same issue, two different phones.

What is the likelihood of a fix being released? Are we going to need new devices just to connect to our phones?

Hi there, @Niksia. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your mom's Versa 3 is still not connecting to her new phone. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair the Versa 3 from her old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to the phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off the phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on her new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up the Versa 3 again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
