Versa 3 won't hold a charge

After the update, I had to troubleshoot why my notifications weren't working on my versa 3. That was a frustrating process, and now that I've got that sorted, it won't hold a charge for more than 2 hours even though I charged it to 100%. It completely turns itself off and shows 0% battery.

Hi @Hoff88 - if you look in the forums other people have noticed that problem after the update and even a factory reset doesn't fix it, but do start with a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu, wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it and see if it helps.

If that doesn't work try a factory reset from the watch Settings, About Versa 3 menu. Wait 10 minutes before proceeding with reinstalling the watch [And unfortunately Notifications!!] again.

The other issue that can cause quick battery drain is water inside.

If it's still a problem and under warranty, 1 to 2 years depending on country law, the quickest way to get it replaced is where you bought it.

Hi there, @Hoff88. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration. I'm glad to hear you managed to solve the issue with the notifications.

Before considering a factory reset, which may lead to damage your Versa 3 if it's not performed correctly, I suggest verifying that you have not "Always-On" display enable. Turning on always-on display impacts your device's battery. When always-on display is turned on, your device requires more frequent charging. For more information, see How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

If the issue persists, please follow @Guy_'s advice, as the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

We hope your issue is solved soon.

I am so disappointed with my new Versa 3 that I’m going to call Fitbit to return it for a refund. I received mine on August 12th. Had to charge it every two days and only using it as a watch and to count steps. I’m not using it to answer text messages or to receive calls. Fitbit replaced it a week ago with another one and I’m having the same issues.
