Versa 3 won't link to Fitbit App

I got my 2nd Versa 3 in June 23 after the 1at one stopped working. Had no trouble adding it to the Fitbit app on my Samsung phone which is on Android v13. All was well for a while and the device was syncing fine. Over the last month or so the syncing has become less reliable. I have literally spent hours following the  Fitbit fix instructions ...force quitting the app, turning Bluetooth on and off, turning the phone on and off, making sure both devices were fully charged etc. That worked up to a point but less reliably over the past week. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times ... So I'm on the new one which is worse as the pull down sync doesn't seem to work and the sync from the app didn't either. I removed the Versa 3 device from the app as it wasn't connecting to the phone anyway ... Message on the app saying this, also the symbol on the  Versa 3.  Now I can't get it the Versa 3 connected to the phone app at all. I've never connected it to any other devices such as a computer or installed the Fitbit app on anything else. What else can I try? Might the Versa 3 be faulty?

Hi @CJ60 - the device can be faulty but first remove the Bluetooth entries from the phone's Bluetooth, remove the device from the Fitbit App and logout and restart the watch and phone.

Then login and setup the device and replace. If this fails it could be a watch fault but if you get any sort of response the watch is working.

First go to your phone settings. Open phone app settings. Go to Fitbit app in phone settings. Delete Catche. Make sure all the app permissions are turned on. Force stop app. Now you can Open Fitbit app. On the top left corner click the phone/watch icon. Devices will appear. Click on your device. If it syncs automatically let it finish. More than likely, it won't sync since it won't connect. Then click on the upper right icon of a garbage can. Delete the device. then click on add more devices and add your device again. follow the steps until your device is added, and now it should reconnect and sync.

I've deleted the cache and checked all permissions. The device had already been deleted from the app. When trying to add it as a new device the phone shows it's searching and the Versa says it's waiting to pair. But it won't ... The app just asks if the Versa is powered  on ... which it is ...and suggests restarting the Versa using the side button and trying again. But that doesn't work either!

There are no Versa 3 entries in the phone's list of paired devices. There are no devices connected in the Fitbit app. I have signed out of the app, rather than just force quitting. Phone has been restarted and Versa shut down. Logged back into Fitbit app. Restarted Versa 3. Phone and Versa right next to each other, Versa in charging cradle on over 80% charge. App just asks if Versa is powered on and wants me to restart Versa and try again. Have tried shutting Versa down both with side button and in settings, both in and out of charging cradle. Always get the same response ... shut down the phone and try again.
