Yesterday my Fitbit Versa 3 quit giving me messages from my phone.  I have tried EVERYTHING (uninstalling the app, force restart the Fitbit, Use settings to shut down Fitbit, shut off Bluetooth...Turn back on Bluetooth, Clearing the Cache for Fitbit, Shut down my phone for over 4 minutes and turn it back on and turn off then turn on Bluetooth, Unpair everything from my phone) nothing works.  I get the code to pair and then it fails to pair.

@cklook  is your watch working otherwise?

Try "Set up a Device" again. If that fails you have the option to do a factory reset just in case it is the watch.

From the watch Settings, About Versa 3, System info.

However it could kill the watch definitively. Wait at least several minutes before doing anything with the watch.

Then with it on the charger try "Set up a Device" again and do what you did when you got it.

If all fails try support from the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, or if under warranty, 1 to 2 years depending on country law, take it back to where you bought it for replacement.

Hi @cklook  - it may be a watch setting. Did you swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings and check that neither sleep or do not disturb are enabled?

Once you have removed the watch Bluetooth entries the best way to remake them is to

  • logout/login to the app.
  • Go to the phone home screen without closing the App
  • Click on the sync popup
  • Wait for the app to make a new pair and link
  • Then sync

You can't use Bluetooth to pair the watch with the phone, it has to be done from the app.

Thanks Guy_ for the reply, but DND and sleep are not enabled.  I also did what you mentioned with logging out and back into the app and sync.  It did not work.  I just now removed my Fitbit from my app and tried to re-install it and that didn't work either.

@cklook  - is the watch fully charged?

When it is restart both devices again and have another go. Sometimes it's the phone's Bluetooth that has a problem.

Hi Guy_,  Yes the Fitbit and the phone are fully charged.  I just tried it again, and nope, it will not work.  All of my other devices that I unpaired to try to pair the Fitbit, paired instantly.  I honestly don't think it's the Bluetooth, but I could be wrong.

THANK YOU GUY_!!!  The factory reset did the trick.  It is currently downloading an update but it completely connected to my phone.  Thank you so much for all your help.
