Versa 3 won't received calls from WhatsApp or Signal apps

My new versa 3 recieves notifications from signal and whatsapp just fine, but when someone calls through either of these apps, no notification of any kind is recieved and I don't know why.

Can someone explain how to fix or change settings for this?

Hi @evnc - there is a similar issue with alarms on an Android phone. What happens is when the alarm goes off, the alarm app is automatically opened and no popup notification is produced. The watch [via the Fitbit App] is not aware of the activity.

This may be the same issue with Signal and Whatsapp.

You can check to see if the apps open on incoming calls and if they can be configured to make a notification, if this is the issue.

I guess that makes sense but there are no options available for any messaging app then that also does phone calls, I will try setting these messaging apps as phone apps as well and see if that changes anything.

@evnc- it's not really a Fitbit issue. It's more a configuration of the phone apps, if they offer such an option, to make them work the way you want.
