Versa 3 won't recognize my cycling

My versa 3 Recognise cycling when i Am cycling for 10 minutes when i am shopping. But when i went cycling for a half an hour pr longer it does not recognise automatically. The speed is always the same. How is thuis possible what can i do?

Hi there, @Corinne1979. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand where your concern is coming from. 

As a first approach, I'd recommend restarting your Versa 3. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Please know that most Fitbit devices automatically recognize and record high-movement activities through the SmartTrack feature. To start, the default duration settings of your Versa 3 is 15 minutes long. However, you can also choose which activities your device tracks automatically, or change the amount of time needed to record the activity. To do so, please follow the next steps:

1. Tap the Today tab, then tap the Exercise tile.
2. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
3. Tap an exercise, and adjust the duration or turn off Auto-recognize.
