Versa 3 won't set up on my iPhone XR

I recently bought a FitBit versa 3 and I've had many problems connecting to my Iphone XR. It has IOS 13+ and the app seems to work fine. However when I start the set up the watch gets stuck on installing apps at 6%. Also, it sometimes goes to the blue check icon but it freezes there. The watch never gets on the actual watch face. When I try to reset both my watch and my bluetooth connection, a message on the app says the operation cannot be completed. Ive tried resetting everything, reinstalling and uninstalling, nothing seems to work, can anybody help me? I can't return my watch so its vital for me to make this work.
